Uncertainty about what will actually happen is one of the most common things that keeps people from taking the first step. This article is an attempt to remove that uncertainty — not to make the session sound ordinary (it isn’t), but so that you arrive knowing what to expect rather than feeling like you are stepping into the unknown.
Arrival and Opening
When Krish arrives, the session does not begin immediately. There is always a period of settling — a few minutes of simply arriving together, letting the ordinary busyness of the day recede.
Krish will take a few moments to prepare the space energetically: a brief ritual of intention and clearing that marks the transition from ordinary time into session time. You will be invited to participate in this, or simply to observe, depending on what feels right.
This opening is not incidental. It is the beginning of the session.
The Initial Conversation
Before any energy work begins, Krish sits with you to review your chakra assessment and understand where you are today. Not just energetically — but emotionally, physically, practically. What has the last week been like? What do you notice in your body right now? What are you hoping for from the session, or what question are you living with?
This conversation is not therapy, but it is genuine. It is the means by which Krish calibrates the session to who you actually are today, not who you were when you filled out the assessment form.
Everything you share is held in confidence and with care.
Grounding and Opening the Body
The session proper typically begins with grounding — a guided practice to bring your awareness fully into the body and the present moment. This might take the form of:
- Slow, conscious breathing with awareness on the feet and the base of the spine
- A brief body scan — moving attention deliberately through each part of the body
- Simple movement or sound to release held tension before the stillness of the main work
This phase is important. Kundalini energy moves upward. Before it can move safely, the foundation — the lower chakras, the nervous system, the body’s sense of safety — needs to be established. Grounding is not a formality. It is the preparation that makes everything else possible.
Breathwork
Pranayama — breath regulation — is one of the primary tools of Tantric practice. Breath is the bridge between the voluntary and involuntary nervous systems, between the conscious and the unconscious, between the physical and the subtle body.
Krish will guide you through specific breathing patterns tailored to what your assessment revealed and what the opening conversation indicated. These may include:
Slow, rhythmic breathing to deepen relaxation and settle the nervous system.
Alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana) to balance the left and right energy channels (ida and pingala nadis), creating the conditions for energy to rise through the central channel.
Activating breath patterns to awaken Kundalini energy — moving prana consciously through the body, particularly in the lower chakras.
You will be guided through each practice with clear, simple instruction. You do not need to have practised breathwork before.
Energy Work and Chakra Alignment
This is the core of the session. With the body relaxed and the breath established, Krish works with your energy directly.
This may involve:
Guided visualisation — moving awareness through the chakras with imagery, colour, or sensation.
Mantra and sound — specific Sanskrit sounds vibrated at particular energy centres. Sound is a carrier of energy in Tantric tradition; mantra is not prayer but a precise energetic tool.
Mudras — hand gestures that direct the flow of prana. You may be guided into specific mudra positions during meditation.
Gentle touch — in some sessions, light touch at specific energy points may be used to assist the movement of blocked energy. This is always discussed beforehand and is only used with your clear consent. It is conducted with full respect and professionalism.
Throughout this phase, you are not passive. Your awareness, your breath, your willingness to be present — these are active ingredients in the work. Krish is guiding and holding the space. You are doing the inner work.
What You May Feel
Energy work produces different experiences in different people, and in the same person at different sessions. Some of what people commonly report:
- Warmth or heat moving through specific areas of the body
- Tingling or electrical sensations, particularly in the hands, feet, or spine
- Waves of emotion — sometimes unexpected tears, laughter, or a sense of release
- Deep stillness — a quality of presence and quiet that feels different from ordinary relaxation
- A sense of expansion, as if the boundaries of the body have softened
- In Kundalini-specific work: a rising sensation through the spine, sometimes gentle, sometimes more intense
Not everyone experiences dramatic phenomena. Some people feel very subtle shifts — a quietness, a sense of having been rearranged internally in a way they cannot quite name. These experiences are no less significant than more dramatic ones.
Whatever arises, Krish is there to support it. There is nothing you need to manage or perform.
Closing and Return
Every session closes with a return to ordinary awareness — a deliberate process of grounding and integration before you return to daily life. This might include:
- Slow breathing with awareness back in the body and the room
- A brief sharing of what arose, if you wish to speak
- A simple closing ritual — gratitude, intention, or silence
This closing is as important as the opening. Energy that is moved needs to be integrated, not left floating. The grounding at the end ensures that what shifted during the session continues to settle into your system in the hours and days that follow.
After Krish Leaves
The session continues, even after he has gone. Read the next lesson for guidance on what to do — and what to avoid — in the 24 to 48 hours that follow a session.
You do not need to understand everything that happens to benefit from it. The body knows how to receive what it needs. Your only job is to be present.
